      I previously tried putting each wire into the connector and crimping. Well, that ended with 10 connectors being crimped and one or zero wires actually in the tube.

      I ordered these and learned this trick. Drop the connector over one of the wires. Then twist the wires together. Slide the connector over the wires and hit it with heat. I needed 2 connectors and I used 2 connectors. These work great. I needed these because one of my outdoor speakea stopped working. Turns out electrical tape did not keep the moisture out. Now, I'm good to go.

      Do I need a soldering iron?

      No separate soldering iron is required for normal use. The solder ring is activated with controlled, even heat.

      A heat gun is recommended for more even, controlled heating.

      The heat-shrink sleeve and internal adhesive are designed to help seal the connection against moisture when properly installed. Check the product specifications for the exact environmental rating.
